Intro: This is only a sub-topic. The
main subject is concerning why it is important that followers of the Messiah begin to rise up and study the
Scriptures for themselves to learn the truths that Satan has hidden from us as
he has infiltrated the churches.
The question is whether or not "Jesus"
is the true name of who we claim to be our Master and Savior!
Information: The letter "J" and the "J" sound did not appear in the English language
until the 17th century. (Webster's Dictionary)
It along with the letter "I" replaced most
words having a "Y" in them.
There is no letter "J" or the "J" sound
in the Hebrew language.
This can easily be proven by picking
up dictionary, encyclopedia, and doing a search on the Hebrew Alephbet.
History: "Jesus" is a transliteration from the Greek name, Strong's Greek
Reference #2424 "Iesous" (pronounced ee-ay-sooce).
Transliteration: transcribe something into
another alphabet: To represent a letter or word written in one alphabet using the corresponding letter or letters of another,
so that the sound of the letter or word remains approximately the same. Example: IESOUS - J (change I to J)ES(Drop the O)US
Translation: The version of a word in another
language: a word, phrase, or version in another language that has a meaning equivalent to that of the original.
"Iesous"
is a transliteration of the original Hebrew name Strong's Hebrew #3091 "Jehoshua" or "Joshua"
The original Hebrew wrote it as "Yhowshua"
which means YHWH's Salvation.
That is written as "Yehoshua", "Yahushua",
"Yeshua" which are about the same though there are those who go overboard with correct pronounction.
To those that would argue that this is
a matter of difference in pronounction I would let you be informed about the matter. The differnce between "Jesus" and
"Yahshua" is not a matter of pronounction between one language and another. "Yahshua" carries over into the English
perfectly even today. "Jesus" has nothing to do with his original name to begin with.
Scripture: It was the messenger of G-d who commanded Yosef (Joseph) to name
the child "Yahshua" which means the name originated from Heaven as a command of G-d Himself. Since this is the case who thinks
any man has the authority to change that? It would have been Yhowshua because the Jews then spoke Hebrew and Aramaic for the
most part. Only those in commercial business would have spoken Greek as a secondary language.
Matt. 1:21 tells us the meaning of his
name, "For he shall save his people from their sins." Yhowshua is "Salvation" in the Hebrew/Aramaic. "Jesus" has no meaning
but is made up.
Many other names of famous saints have
similiar "El" or "yah" spellings in their names. "El" is the short form of "Elohim" the title "God" The "yah" is currently
debated as to rather or not it is the short form of YHWH's name. Saints: Eliyah (Elijah), Daniel,
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah), Yeshayahu (Isaiah) and even Halleluyah (Hallelujah).
What proves this case so: Both Acts 7:45
and Hebrews 4:8 speaks of Joshua "Yahshua" of the Old Testament "The Tanach" (Another Long Story). In some versions it is
translated into "Jesus" and in others "Joshua". The problem is this comes from the same Greek name "Iesous" which is from
the original name "Joshua" or correctly "Yhowshua". So the question is why did the translators go from Yhowshua-Iesous-Joshua/Jesus?
There must be tampering due to bias.
Notes: It is historical fact that the post-Apostolic Christians began to
cut off all ties of the Judaic origins of Christianity especially after 300 AD. There was no justification for changing Yhowshua's
name to Jesus seeing we can say/spell that same name in English.
Even today we don't change a person's name
from another country e.g. Ariel Sharon, Benyamin Netanyahu. Why would one think that Jewish parents of a the
Messiah would give their son a Greek name? Why should we transliterate his name from the Greek instead of the Hebrew/Aramaic
(the source)? This subject would be seen as controversial, but why? It's not because it's lies, it's not because it's debatable,
it's not because there's a sinister plot behind it. The greatest reason why this would be listed controversial is because
it goes against a greatly held tradition that has been passed down without questioning.
Conclusion: I will state first that I disagree with Sacred Name groups and their condemnation of those that don't use the names. However I also disagree with the level of hostility that is shown to does that use the names and wish to share this information
with others.
Does
it matter? Some would have this argument but the question is who on earth can speak up for Yahshua to say it does not matter?
Now of course I do not condemn to damnation does that use the name "Jesus" but I would always
wonder why one would refuse to.
Some people see this
as petty and worthless. These very same people would readily correct their usage of any other word or definetly someone's
name upon being corrected about it. But the name of the Master is of little importance. What happened to love
for truth?
Why is it that the only time something is consider petty is when it challenges
tradition or shows someone to be in error? My question for those who would ask me, "Why even go into all this and what
does it matter?" I will respond with a question, "Why does it matter, what's so hard about simply switching to the proper
name?
People would ask me why do I make a big deal over the
issue. My question is why are they making it a big deal? If Yahshua is the name he was born with, what's so hard about
using it?
Would
it matter if I called Ariel Sharon, Gabriel Davron, of course it would. "Well I don't think Jesus cares about that" have you
been to Heaven to know that? Facts are facts, the only thing debatable here is opinions of does it matter. I sure would want
to respect my MASTER and SAVIOR don't you?
Don't take my
word for it, but I ask that you don't reject it out of hand either. I challenge you to research this yourself. This information
can be validated in your Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Bible, Strong's Hebrew/Greek, Common Sense, and Logic. Have a love for
the truth and the truth will set you free. Not my truth but "the truth" as YOU find it!
There's so much more information
that has been hidden from the Christian by tradition today.
"Come out of her my people
that you be not partakers of her sins and that you don't receive her plagues."
Revelation 18:4
