There is a great many that hold to the idea of a pre-tribulation rapture. There are also those in the minority
who hold to the idea of a mid-tribulation or post-tribulation rapture. In this article I ask where is this rapture so
many hold to?
From what I have studied there are no Scriptures
of themselves (prior to Babylonian confusion being added into the text in the name of interpretation/hints) that say anything
about there being a rapture prior to the events of Revelation taking place.
There are however without question many scriptures
that speak of a resurrection that takes place in the end. Please read the Scriptures for yourself as I will only paraphase
the main point here.
Daniel 12:2: Many
will awake to everlasting life or everlasting contempt.
Luke 20:35: Resurrection
from the dead.
John 5:29:
Resurrection to life and a Resurrection to damnation.
John 11:24: Resurrection
at the last day.
Acts 23:6:
Hope and Resurrection of the dead.
Acts 24:15:
Resurrection of the dead, the just, and the unjust.
Romans 6:5: Likeness
of His Resurrection.
1 Cor. 15:12-13: Resurrection of the dead.
1 Cor. 15:21, 42: Resurrection of the dead.
Philippians 3:11: Resurrection of the dead.
2 Timothy 2:18: Some said the Ressurection (not Rapture)
had passed.
Hebrews 6:2: Resurrection
was a well known doctrine.
Rev. 20:5-6: John sees
the First Resurrection.
How could there have been any Rapture (something
not found in Scripture) seeing how John at the end of time was seeing the very first Resurrection?
Some would challenge by stating that there have been plenty of resurrections
in the past. However there have never been any resurrections that have been permeanent. The individual resurrected
eventually died again. Yahshua was the only human to resurrect into immortality as says the Scripture:
Colossians 1:18 And he is
the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from
the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
1 Thessalonians
2:1-5
Says nothing about a mysterious pre-tribulation rapture.
The emissaries of Yahshua never taught about there being a catching away prior to the tribulation. The only thing that
has repeated over and over again is that there will be a resurrection to eternal life and to eternal death.
I am not going to go further concerning this doctrine as there are plenty
of web sites that defeat this doctrine. I suggest one takes a good look at what's
in Scripture and what is not in Scripture. One should also study the Day
of Yahweh (Day of the Lord) found throughout the Scripture.
In doing this you should be able to see that without the tinted glasses of
bias, there are no places in Scripture that presents an idea of a rapture anywhere. The proof-text that are usually
used are places wher definitions, ideas, emotions, and especially supposed
hints are forced into the Scripture.
Let the Scriptures speak for themselves. Stop allowing yourself to accept
good ideas, sermons, and thoughts of man that supposedly proves something not in Scripture.
